This place is a hoot! The ambiance is definitely pub and local college bar all mixed together. And the staff is both laid back and efficient. As for food, I cannot say enough good things about the Guinness burger!!! The only downside is that it is so filling, you might not be able to finish it. And your taste buds will resent your stomach. The grouper sandwich is magnificent and if you order it blackened you will thank yourself and the kitchen. All in all, a great place.

Visited Dahlonega for Christmas and was pretty surprised at the sparse number of restaurants in the area. Couldn't get reservations anywhere nor could we walk in without a several hour wait. Luckily we visited Shenanigans early one day and got reservations. Cool environment, friendly and funny staff. Food was really good, loved the Irish flare. Four of us there and we all enjoyed this. Definitely recommend this place and if we visit again, we'll definitely pay them another visit.

Ambiance, service, and food were all great! I came here for a birthday dinner while out looking at Christmas lights around the square. We sat outside at a table with a fire in the center. Although, it was super crowded, the vibe was completely calm outside that you would never know how crowded it was. Best restaurant in the square!

For an Irish Pub, this place is really good! The bangers and mash are amazing. The pie was good too. I washed it down with a Guinness, which is my favorite beer. Everyone around us really liked it too. Great atmosphere, though quite busy during peak season. The service was decent and location is excellent. I found it on Yelp while planning my trip and it just seemed like a place we would like. While in Dahlonega twice, every local and regular visitor to town said this was one of their favorites.

Oh, my stars wow, what a place what history? What a site. I don't go to Irish pubs or restaurants, but I thought I would take a leap of faith and try this one.. even though I didn't order the most popular dish or what you go therefore bangers and mash. I ordered a veggie Reuben that comes with fresh spinach, marinated sauerkraut, wild mushroom mix, Swiss cheese, and thousand island dressing on a toasted rye marble bread. Mind blowing incredibly delicious tons and tons of flavor you can taste the the flavors that they put in the fermented sauerkraut the seasonings they put in the mushroom mixture in the homemade thousand island dressing even if you are a meat lover you're going to love this sandwich. You will not miss the meat also ordered the black Angus patty melt the meat was thick and juicy. The seasoned caramelized onions were cooked perfectly. it was such a nice size sandwich only was able to eat half and it comes with homemade potato chips. What's not to love servicer was knowled...

Fairly typical pub atmosphere and no stand-outs with the decor or the menu, but we were seated quickly, and the service was quick and friendly. The Southwest Sausage Dip was surprisingly good, and the Fish and Chips, Philly Cheesesteak, and wings were delicious. The cole slaw was described to me by the waitress as "different," and different it was. I neither liked nor disliked it, but the homemade honey mustard and tartar sauce were sooo good. This is not the place to go if you want something light or even marginally healthy, but you can work off your grease and carbs by walking around the village. If you drop by when there is a wait to be seated, stroll across the street and play a game of outdoor chess or grab a book from the free library at the memorial garden.

Our first meal here. It was graduation night at UNG, but we were seated quickly. The hostess was friendly and efficient, she had good energy. Great pub vibe, with dollar bills lining every available space downstairs. Katie gave us a quick rundown of their popular items and her personal favorites. We opted for the Shepherds Pie and Patty Melt. Both had lots of flavor, good temps, and classic presentation. There were lots of options and we had a time deciding. We would go back!

Everything at shenanigans is 5 stars. the atmosphere, the food, the prices and especially the staff. they accommodated me and the huge group I was with on short notice on a very busy night and did so with a smile on their face. you could tell they wanted to help and make our time at the restaurant really special. The food was excellent. I had a patty melt and it was excellent. The service was quick and efficient. Our waitress was amazing and she never seemed frustrated or overwhelmed with anything or anyone in our group. Highly recommend this restaurant. This isn't our first time there and it won't be our last! A big thank you to the entire staff - especially Tony and our waitress

Wow. First time trying Shenanigans and it was absolutely great! The wait was long, but it is the holiday season so of course everyone is out and about enjoying the perfect little town. We were first sat outside and it was so cold, so my fiancée asked to be moved inside and everyone was super helpful and got us a table inside pretty quick. Our server was very friendly and helped us with any questions we had. I had the Honey Lemon Pepper Chicken Sandwich and my fiancée had the Reuben. The food came out fast considering how busy it was at the time and everything was so good. If you're looking for somewhere to go while visiting Dahlonega, this is definitely the place! We will definitely be back.
